Why sticker contours come out jagged or over-detailed, and how edge precision, smoothing and hole filling produce a clean cuttable path.
A jagged contour has too many points following pixel-level noise. The plotter slows down, the blade chatters, and the finished sticker edge looks nibbled rather than smooth.
Edge precision controls how faithfully the path follows the traced mask. The default 6.5 keeps recognisable detail while smoothing pixel steps. Raise it for spiky artwork you genuinely want reproduced; lower it for photos and soft shapes.
If one area still misbehaves, open the manual contour editor and fix it with the pen and eraser instead of degrading the whole path with global smoothing. Points are simplified on save, so hand-drawn segments stay light.
